40´s U.S.Navy Gunner Smock Salvage Parka

貴重な40年代のネイビーアイテムのサルベージパーカになります。
ガンナースモックとも呼ばれたりします。

当時、危険物処理班用のウェアで、沈没、座礁した船舶の引き揚げ、救助を行う時に使用され、トップスはフード付きのオーバーパーカとなり、ガスマスクを装備するの事もあり、フード周りのディテールが独特な作りになっています。
前期型がボタンプルオーバーの片ポケが特徴となり、この一着は後期型になります。

このジャケットならではのサイズ表記の記され方も面白く、右ポケット部分の棒線のジグザグステッチングがサイズを示します。
1本がSサイズ、2本がM、3本がLとなり、
今回の物は4本で、XLサイズに該当します。

使用後は破棄される事が多かった為、現存数が極めて少ないアイテムとなります。
